I am allowed to live and work in Spain Full Time?
If you are native of an EU country, such as the United Kingdom, you are able to live and work in Spain and you do not require any permit of permissions to do so. If you do not come from an EU country, such as United States, you can still move and buy a business, but you will need a work permit to enable you to earn money and work in your business.

What experience to I need?
It depends on the business that you wish to purchase. If you were to buy a garage, then it would be necessary to have experience in such a field. However, if you are looking to buy a Bar, Shop or a more general business, then experience is not necessary. The most important qualification is a general business is common sense and to be prepared to work hard to achieve your goals. Most of our clients who purchase a bar in Spain have little or no experience in any business and have been previously employed but want to be their own boss.

Do I need to speak Spanish?
Of course, when you live in a foreign country it is always an advantage to speak the language. On the Costa del Sol, English is used by many people and there are people who have lived here for 20 years successfully without ever speaking a work of Spanish. You will find that all of the suppliers for your business will employ staff who speak English, so you will find that speaking Spanish is not necessary. Spanish working hours are, in general 9am to 2pm with a ‘siesta’ between 2pm and 5pm. The Spanish then work from 5pm until around 9pm.
